NNAPF National Workforce Development Review Process
In support of NNAPF’s 2nd Five-Year Workforce Development (WFD) Strategy, several observations related to training, human resource management tools, and complementary remuneration are noted to encourage the attraction and retention within the Native addictions and wellness workforce. Likewise, key to the development of the strategy is the need to respectfully engage NNAPF’s regional stakeholders in guiding the development of WFD-related products.
The purpose of the NNAPF National Workforce Development Review Process is:
- To support NNADAP Renewal in addressing their workforce development training, tools and guides through partnerships with the regional NNADAP communities; and,
- To engage all regional and national stakeholders in a process that supports the NNADAP’s Renewal to achieve, for example, comparable remuneration (salary grid), benefits, and job descriptions for NNADAP addictions counselors and support counselors nationwide.
As part of NNAPF’s 2010-12 workplan, the NNAPF Workforce Development Committee is mandated to guide this work, with specific deliverables for the next 2 years. The following section includes the WFD Committee’s Terms of Reference as well as other relevant documentation.
