Addictions Evidence-based Process
Welcome to NNAPF’s new Web page on the Addictions Evidence-Base process.
NNADAP Renewal Process
Having identified the systemic challenges that need to be addressed, and the strengths that enabled NNADAP to bring many significant and positive changes in the life of First Nations and Inuit peoples, the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, now known as First Nations, Inuit and Aboriginal Health (FNIAH) has committed to undertake a process of renewal.
To contribute to the development of a renewed national NNADAP framework insuring the provision of culturally-appropriate and effective addictions services to First Nations in the coming years, FNIAH, in partnership with the Assembly of First Nations and the National Native Addictions Partnership Foundation, has developed the Addictions Evidence-Base process, with specific goals and planned initiatives. This process represents a timely and important opportunity for First Nations and their partners to consider how best to renew NNADAP over the next five to ten years.
